Feed Trough Size
Bend the edges of both sides of the notch inward 1-2 cm, or insert a 1.5-2 cm thick wooden stick at the edge to prevent the chicken from pulling out the feed. A round wooden rod with automatic rolling is installed in the center to prevent the chicken from polluting the feed by defecating in the tank. Many chicken farmers use bamboo with a diameter of 8-14 cm to make feed troughs of different sizes with a mouth width of 6-11 cm. The lower part is reinforced and fixed, which is suitable for feeding large, medium and young chickens. The size and height of Feed Trough should be determined according to the size of chicken. Broiler chickens should occupy a slot of 4-5 cm at 1-2 weeks old, 6-7 cm at 2-4 weeks old, and 8-i0 cm at 6-8 weeks old. The height of the feeding trough is measured by the height of the feed edge and the height of the chicken back or 2-4cm higher than the chicken back.
